Lego Batman Video Game Cake!

These are edible minifigs!

These are edible minifigs!

Two posts in one day! This is important.

First there was Lego. Then there was Star Wars. Then there was the brilliance that was Lego Star Wars. Following that was the Genius that is Lego Star Wars the VIDEO GAME (See the trend here? Taking things Anitabot likes and combining them).  Seeing how well that did, Lego Indiana Jones was born, followed by probably the best of the series: Lego Batman the Video Game. (I’m playing it right now, I like it a lot). I didn’t think it could get any better than this, but then i find out (through JessPlease) that for the launch party of the game (to which I was somehow not invited to – must have gotten lost in the mail), Elissa Strauss (the writer of the “Confetti Cakes” book that I own and swear by) created a LEGO BATMAN VIDEO GAME CAKE.

That is just a series of words that are things I like:
Lego
Batman
Video Game
Cake

This is almost as awesome as when Aardman decided to make a Wallace & Gromit movie that featured BUNNIES.  (Awesomer than that would be a Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit video game cake).

Anywho, Here is a picture I found from Elissa’s Confetti Cakes Blog. I can’t believe I didn’t find these earlier!

No crazy space-alien abducts my dog and gets away with it!

Apparently starting a new job makes you all sorts of “busy”. Taking in so much new information (from names & faces) to the little details and of course the giant details really takes a lot of concentration!

I’m not too busy to randomly find things on the internet! I found this cute little online game called Samarost (1&2), made by a small company that goes by the name of amanita design. (Hey! My name is in there! awesome!)

I found this company’s site through finding another one of their games on the BBC Kids site. The game in question is called… Questionaut. It is a sort of educational game aimed at 11 year olds. It. Is. Awesome. The art work in all of their games sets my imagination on fire.  The style really envokes a sense of wonder, and despite having google ads down the side of the page – I really feel like I’m on a different planet.

In Questionaut, you play a character who bravely and honourably decides to chase after your friends lost hat. Flying around in your hot air balloon, you float to different levels where answering questions correctly gives you enough fuel to float to the next… until you find the hat.

In Samarost 1&2, you play this namelesss white-PJ wearing boy… He can only be described as brave, smart, lucky, and… cute! You face adventures such as turning away an impending meteor, or chasing down the aliens that abducted your dog. Samarost 2 even has a second chapter which you can purchase.

And I think you should.
