Dearest Bloggerton,
Initially I had my doubts about getting a blog. Everyone has one these days, and I feel like I have nothing important to contribute to the world.
I’ve also noticed that most blogs are written in this way that I find pretentious and annoying. Or maybe it’s just that they use proper “sentences”, and try to avoid the stream-of-consciousness word vomit that one usually finds on the internet.
I can’t quite explain it, but I’ll try: They take subjects that are pretty boring and meaningless, and try to make it far more important and complicated than it is. Like the time they went to the grocery store and noticed that it had a coin-to-cash converter and how this was a sign of the impending obsolescence of banks, or something about the convenience of the modern age. Of course that is an easy enough observation to make, so they need to go into depth and explain how the coin-to-cash converter works, the colours on the machine, its strategic placement in the store, the odd noises it produces, the way it smells and probably something about how smart they are for figuring out how to use it. UGH. NO ONE CARES.
That being said, this blog is going to be pretty boring to certain people. Those certain people may make up 99% of the worlds population, but for that scarce 1% of you who are wondering what my insidious blog may contain in the future, here is a list:
- Bunnies, especially my two pet bunnies.
- Photography – landscape, urban and mostly wildlife. I will post these pictures.
- Consumer Electronics – gadgets, tech gear, computers, video games, entertainment systems, audio, video. (Other things that are normally “dude” interests).
- Cosmetics – to balance out the “dude” in me, I suppose. I love fine makeup!
- Food. I love to bake, and dine out. I will record my exploits in both.
- Entertainment: T.V. shows, music, movies & books. I don’t plan on mentioning every single one I see or experience, but will talk about ones that stand out. I promise to keep it short.
- Travelling, I don’t do much of, unfortunately.
- Toronto – the city I live in.
- Clay. I make small things out of Sculpey (polyform clay – bakes in your oven!). I’ll post these for sure!
- Random stuff… If you know me in person, you’ll understand what this means.
Well, that is probably it. I’m sure I’ll come up with more crap to write about, but for the most part that is what you’re going to get.
