The one year anniversary of my MacBook Pro, and I – that is
It’s just been over a year since I became a switcher. It is probably the best decision and purchase I’ve ever made. (Second only to my bunny Chompy – that is the best $20 I ever spent!).
The kicker is after I ordered my 2.16 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Book Pro from apple’s refurbished site – I got laid off. But it still was a sound investment. This is my first mac and my first laptop and I’m never going back. I’m a multimedia kid by trade, and when I work, as the name would suggest, I multi task heavily. I think multi tasking were MADE for macs.
After being sadly unemployed for 7 months I scored a job but the only downside? I was going back to working on PC’s. It’s been tough. There are so many points during a day that I instinctively try to type things into spotlight. There are moments when I try to open up finder. I try to click the (tiny and ugly) icons while alt-tabbing through programs… but I am left with nothing but frustration.
Sure, there are a few things from Windows I miss… such as… umm… hrrm. Oh! Pressing F2 on a file name so I can copy it. Yes… that. But there is probably a way to do that, and many other things in OS x that I just haven’t found yet. Why, just today I figured out how to synchronize birthdays from Address Book to my iCal! Every day is a learning adventure with my mac.
that’s all. I just wanted to gush like an apple fan girl. I try to hide it so as to avoid the “mac sucks!” arguments… but no more!
