Lego Batman Video Game Cake!
Two posts in one day! This is important.
First there was Lego. Then there was Star Wars. Then there was the brilliance that was Lego Star Wars. Following that was the Genius that is Lego Star Wars the VIDEO GAME (See the trend here? Taking things Anitabot likes and combining them). Seeing how well that did, Lego Indiana Jones was born, followed by probably the best of the series: Lego Batman the Video Game. (I’m playing it right now, I like it a lot). I didn’t think it could get any better than this, but then i find out (through JessPlease) that for the launch party of the game (to which I was somehow not invited to – must have gotten lost in the mail), Elissa Strauss (the writer of the “Confetti Cakes” book that I own and swear by) created a LEGO BATMAN VIDEO GAME CAKE.
That is just a series of words that are things I like:
Lego
Batman
Video Game
Cake
This is almost as awesome as when Aardman decided to make a Wallace & Gromit movie that featured BUNNIES. (Awesomer than that would be a Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit video game cake).
Anywho, Here is a picture I found from Elissa’s Confetti Cakes Blog. I can’t believe I didn’t find these earlier!

Le Swoon! I think I need to make a Lego Anitabot … and then game… followed by cake. with bunnies.
Heck-lad 2.
I saw Hellboy II: The Golden Army on Friday. I enjoyed it a lot. Guillermo Del Toro’s visual stylings i amazing. I think he’ll do some awesome things with The Hobbit. My favourite part was the animation style of the story told to a young Hellboy at the beginning. It seemed to be CGI that mimicked a stop motion feel, with old-school looking wooden puppets. I would love to have this as a short film in itself. So very cute. The only thing that dissapointed me was, it seems that David Hyde Pierce did not do the voice for Abe Sapien this time :/. Doug Jones did a decent job but he’s no DHP.
In other movie news, I may attempt to see the Dark Knight (I always want to say yooou caaahrazzeee engglash kkaaanigits!) today. I’ve done a fairly good job of avoiding as much hype/details/spoilers as possible so I hope I can enjoy it when I do get to see it.
Also, yesterday I think I broke a personal record for “amount of times spent ‘swimming’”. I use the term swimming lightly because I don’t know how. I do know how to hang off a pool noodle in the shallow end. It’s still fun! This was my 3rd time in a pool this year. Sad, I know. But I had such a fear of drowning and water etc… that it really is a big deal. But I’m glad to see that I am capable of getting over my fears! Especially since my building has a pool.
Also, a bit of advice that my seem obvious: Dollar store pool noodles aren’t very good. I didn’t know there could be such a thing as a C grade noodle – but now I’m all to aware.
