Bukit
Welcome to Huey Bunny
As mentioned previously, our dear bunny Bukit passed away last month. We knew we wanted to adopt another bunny so Chompy could have a friend again – but we weren’t sure when was too soon.
We decided to go through www.rabbitrescue.ca, an organization that takes in rabbits who are near the end of their lives at shelters and places them with foster parents until they can find ‘forever homes’.
Through them we found Huey – who was living in waterloo.
He is awesome! He’s very curious and loves to be petted. This is a big change from Chompy, who is equally curious but replace love with hate and… well that’s the Chomps. They haven’t been introduced yet. I really hope they like each other. Bukit was more of a subdued bunny and Chompy can be fairly laid back as well. I hope these two don’t have clashing personalities!! Anyway, here are two more pictures of cutie mc Huebert.
Ressurection
I’ve decided to bring ye olde bloge back to life. I guess not every post has to be insightful & meaningful. tee hee. I added twitter to my site, and it is fun – but I may want to expand on that. I also figure I need to do some sort of promotion of my blog… so people know it exists, other wise what’s the point?! I’ll figure something out.
I love wordpress – it really is awesome. The “pages” feature makes it really unecessary for to even create my own site manually, but it’s the least I can do to stay a ‘multimedia’ person. I’ve upgraded to 2.6, and it just gets better and better. Colour me impressed.
In other news, my dear old bunny, Bukit, had to be put down this past Monday. It breaks my heart, but he was very, very ill. He is no longer suffering, and that is the best I could do for him.
We paid the extra money for an autopsy (yes, a rabbit autopsy.) and a histo-pathology. For those of you who don’t know, Bukit was somewhat of a medical anomaly. He had these weird bumps on his side that the vets, after doing a biopsy could only describe as “hardened fibrous collagen deposits” that were “seen only in humans and sharks”. What?! I don’t know either! Anywho, we thought it’d be good to know what was afflicting him in his final months, and probably great for the vets to learn more things as well.
All in the name of science, Bukit! Science!
RIP BUKIT!
2003-2008
There’s more to report on, but I’ll save that for later.
