October = Halloween edition Anitabot!

Yup, look above – the halloween edition anitabot icon is ready! meow! I can’t believe it’s October already! To deal with this I am gearing myself up for the best month of the year! yarr!

Facebook’s pirate language is a bit of a challenge to read through, but I feel it’s my duty as a devout pastafarian to use it.  Faith shouldn’t be easy, but it definitely is worth it.

Why is it only in sizes medium ++++?? Can’t little girls be storm troopers as well? PUH LEAZE?!

Also, in my quest for a Halloween costume I must raise the question: WHY ARE ALL WOMEN’S COSTUMES SEXIFIED?

Think of a career, ethnicity* or a character, then sexify it a notch. Voila! You’ve just designed a women’s halloween costume. It’s kind of lame.

Even unsexy careers get the sexy treatment.  Well, I’d like to see you try and make a sexy Predator costume. or a sexy Alien costume. Eh? Try that! It’s impossible!  Or what about a sexy Child Welfare Services worker? Now that’s just wrong, but I’m sure someone will attempt to sexify it. Sexy MTO (dmv) worker? no. Not sexy at all.  Sexy Septic tank cleaner?  Sexy sexy-costume seamstress?

* And the Ethnicity! HOW the hell is that… a costume? How is dressing up as a different race/culture a ‘costume’?  This racist woman I know suggested I wear a sari and dress up as an Indian for Halloween. umm… news for ya: I’m an Indian every day of my life! (sure I don’t wear the sari, but that actually isn’t the whole part of being Indian! whoa!).

My least favourite of these is the “Indian princess”(Indian as in Aboriginal and not as in from south asia). I really don’t want to see some person dress up as an outdated stereotype of a culture that our government has and continues to keep on the sidelines. Am I the only one who’s super-offended by this?
