Anitabot Bathroom Graffiti

A few years ago, after I designed the Anitabot logo, I got stickers printed up and handed them out to friends and stuck them around the city. I went to Nuit Blanche ’08 and posted a sticker at every installation I was at, and friends told me later they saw that I had been there. How Novel! (See the album below)

2 Christmas’s ago Aaron designed for me, the greatest Christmas gift ever. A Pop-art rendering of my beloved face! (Yes, I am obsessed with my cartoon alter ego).

Take that, Warhol!

I had ran out of stickers so I tried drawing one on a bathroom stall… I’m not good at free handing, I like vector handles I can pick up and move. Anyway, the ‘bot’ on the left was my doing back in February. I returned to this stall just last week and noticed someone had added on!! I don’t know who this person is, but this is great because I love sugar skulls! I also like that this was a complement to my drawing, and not a defacing. To C, whoever you are, thanks!

Bot left, Sugar Skull right!

This made me think that perhaps I should get more stickers printed and continue my rampage on the city but then decided something that may be a bit more economical: a rubber stamp!

I ordered a kit from www.paper-source.com and I cannot wait until it arrives. I’m excited to try out a new craft. I’m pretty decent at sculpting/carving things, but this will require a very steady hand. I’ll update you when it does, or you may just see the stamp in a bathroom stall near you!

Happy 2010! New year: New Furniture!

The freshness of a new year brings so many hopes, dreams, ideas and promises. It’s the proverbial blank slate that everyone gets. Except, it’s not really a blank slate. It’s the same slate from last year, and all the previous years and thoughts, ideas, marks remain. It’s been wiped blank, yes but  the old remains.  Is that such a bad thing? I think not.

I am not a fan of making  new years resolutions because I am not a fan of failure. Not to say I succeed at every endeavor , but I am not a fan of setting myself for obvious failure.  This year, however I shall attempt to make some resoultions. I will resolve to accomplish these things for the betterment of my life quality.

1) I resolve to stop staying late at work all the time.

2) I resolve to spend more time with the Rabbits.

3) I resolve to buy new furniture

4) I resolve to craft, bake and cook more – but really I resolve to take pictures of these things to post in here.

5) I resolve to try and maybe perhaps attempt to think about getting over my fear of drowning.

Well that sounds fair to me!

Item #2 is the one that is weighing on my mind more.  Baron and I are searching for a new couch for our new fancypants Condo Stoat. (The one we purchased this past July). Our old Ikea-futon was great when we bought it, but now its pants are nowhere near fancy enough. My next post will give you a wonderful and couch-by-couch analysis. I know you care.

Until then – I leave you with this image of the best X-mas gift I’ve ever received. Hope your holidays were as good as mine.

The greatest gift I've ever recieved from the greatest man I've evern known
